A Letter from the Elves

Dear boys and girls at the Vedruna Àngels school, 

First of all we wanted to introduce ourselves, since we’ve never properly met, although maybe some of you have seen us around... (if so, please, don’t tell anyone!)

We are an elf family that lives in your magical little mulberry forest and for years now we’ve been watching you grow, play, laugh and cry... and we’ve also noticed that as Christmas gets closer, you are all... happier, better behaved, you even sing more! It’s like there’s something in the air that no one can see, something you humans call LOVE.

As you know (or maybe not), we prefer to stay in the shadows but, even still, we’ve decided that we want to do our part to make your Christmas special. So, after a long family meeting with all the elves that live in the mulberry forest, we have something to ask of you: on the paper that your teacher gave you, please write or draw what you have to give and what makes you feel happy. We will let you hang all these dreams, wishes and thoughts up among the branches of our homes, making this little mulberry forest the most magical place in the world.

It would also be great if you bring in all the cardboard egg cartons and empty toilet paper rolls you can find. We were spying on your mums and dads (don’t say anything, ok?!) and we heard they are planning to build a big Christmas tree so all of you can welcome the Three Kings’ helper to our school.

We also wanted to take this chance to thank you all, this school is the best place in the world for a family of city elves like us to live!
